Day 2:
Again, we started the day very early.  We up and about by 5:20 am.  The time change coming to Hawaii is very favorable and we gain 5 hours.  The time difference typically is 6 hours but HI does not change to day light savings time.

We walked east of the condo this morning toward Diamond Head.  We walked the beach for a couple of miles.  Walking on the beach is a great workout as you are walking through about a foot of very loose sand that you sink into.  It is very different that walking on the beaches in California or Florida.
The following are pictures that we took along our walk this morning.

Diamond Head on a Misty Morning

Tarzan (Ted)

The "Bird Man" is on one of piers ever morning to feed his birds, the zebra doves.  I feed the birds as well only after the Bird Man assured me that they would not poop on me.  They were very well behaved and shared the bread nicely and they did not poop one me.  The bird man also pointed us to the water below where we saw several species of very colorful fish - including the Gil species from Nemo.  He encouraged us to return to the pier as it is pretty common to see shark and seals moving in withe the tide.

The Tarzan vines are amazing.  The trees must be hundreds of years old to have such massive roots and vines.  The vines would easily hold hundreds of pounds so swinging from the vines would be possible if the park did not prohibit.

We walked down to have a beer and wings at the local Bdubs.  The nicest staff ever!  I have pictures that will share with the Home Office Bdubs when I return.

The people in Hawaii as so nice - they could give MN a lesson in MN nice.  Everyone is so helpful and patient.
